I got to do Jordan's hair...(it's harder than it looks to do a 2-yr old's hair!)
...and Uncle Jon pushed her on the swings...
...and Daddy pushed her on the swings....
...and we had a little photo shoot...
....and here she is in her "Pooh night-night dress"....so cute.
In early June, Jon left me in Kansas City and headed up to Ohio for his brother, Tim's graduation. We can now refer to he and his new bride as Drs. Livengood. Congratulations to you both!!
Jon has started helping out with the youth group at our church this month. He's currently teaching the 8th and 9th grade boys Sunday School class, and helping out downstairs on Wednesday nights. Soon, he's going to be giving a lesson on Sunday nights, and eventually Wednesday night. He's doing great and excited to begin doing what God has called him to do.
I've started singing on the worship team this month, and I'm really enjoying it as well. There are three teams, and so I only sing every three weeks. Tomorrow will be my second time. I'm filling in for someone who is gone for the summer, so I'm not sure what will happen when she returns, but it's nice to be involved in this way while I can.
We also experienced the drive-in here in Kansas City for the first time this month! And last night we went to Shakespeare in the Park down at the Plaza. We saw Romeo and Juliet! Jon and I went to Shakespeare in the Park four years ago when we first started dating and he came to see me in Kansas City. So, it was a bit nostalgic for us. Only, I wasn't nearly as nervous... :-)
My mom and dad will be here next weekend (woo hoo!!) so we've been getting the place ready for them to come today. Can't wait!
Well, there's a little update. Things have been pretty quiet around here lately, and I'm glad. Maybe time will stop going by so fast :-)
