Fall Fun...

(As a sidenote, my apologies to the older folks who may have found the print on our last post a little too small...I must admit, I was even squinting...hopefully this font will treat you well.)

The subject at hand is our favorite time of year...FALL! To celebrate this excellent time of year we went to Louisburg Cider Mill a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon. It was VERY windy, and a little cold, but we had fun anyway. We went through the corn maze, (with no map, mind you) which was shaped like a dragon. The point of the corn maze was to find 7 letters that would spell the name of a famous dragon-slayer. Immediately, Jon knew it was going to be Beowulf. How did I miss the fact that Beowulf was a dragon-slayer when I read that book in high school AND college?
Among other fall fun activities our latest favorite is the pumpkin bagel and pumpkin cream cheese at Einstein's Brother's Bagels on Saturday morning, which is only a fall activity because it involves pumpkin flavoring. I think I can see this breakfast trend lasting throughout the year, though, pumpkin or not. The great thing about going out for breakfast on Saturday morning is that you don't have to get ready too much before going out. It's pretty obvious that 98% of the other people in the restaurant did the same thing we did. Rolled out of bed, combed our hair, brushed our teeth, and headed for breakfast.

Jon - lost and scared in the corn
Here we are in the corn. And very squinty...
